Since it is nearly Christmas, I thought I’d stay with a Christmas theme. I chose to keep my string simple by merely making a diagonal line across my tile.
Then I chose two tangles that remind me of the season. First I chose the new tangle Arukas because in this form, it reminds me of a star and second I chose Verdigogh because it reminds me of a tree branch. The star for the one the Wise Men followed to Bethlehem to find the new born king (Jesus) and the tree branch for the one decoration I put up every year this time, full of lights, ornaments, and fake snow.
I’m not very good at Arukas yet. I seem to have a hard time keeping things uniform. I also struggle with making straight lines.
Verdigogh, which I have a feeling I am mispronouncing, is another that I still need practice with but I think the tile turned out half decent anyway.
I hope you are enjoying this special season. Tiffany was stunned to realize that Christmas is next week. Of course, her excitement caused me to panic just a bit. I’m just glad I’ve got most of my shopping completed. Now if I could only buckle down and get the wrapping done too.
I’ll still be posting a zentangle next week even though there will not be a Diva Challenge, as Laura takes the next couple of weeks off.
Until next time, God bless,
