I sometimes struggle with positive things to say to my beloved. I know that God dislikes pride; actually it’s an abomination. Because of my desire to keep pride at bay, I have been less of an encourager and more of a critic, I’m afraid.

Unfortunately, this has probably transferred over to my husband as well. Oh to be honest, I know it has. The really bad thing is that unfortunately this means that I have not been giving Mike things he needs. Men need to hear things like that though.

Since I’m so out of practice I found Matthew Jacobson’s article very interesting. 103 Words of Affirmation Every Husband Wants to Hear    I found some of them came naturally and others were insightful. It isn’t a new post but it is a good one. I hope it is helpful to you too.
