Home Tile

iamthedivacztThis week’s Diva Challenge is to draw a tile that means home.

For me, home is all about love. It starts with the love of God for me. Next is the love of my life, Michael, and then our children, and now daughter-in-love and grandson. It goes to my extended family and then out to other friends and people God puts in my path. So the natural thing to draw was hearts that overlapped one another.

I tried to add other tangles but all I could see was a bunch of hearts. I just couldn’t put anything inside them. So I didn’t fight it and I just shaded it.

I forgot to take a preshaded picture. I just started shading and didn’t stop. This one really flowed for me. Some of the hearts are a little wonky but that is the way we people are; we’re not perfect. I’m a work in progress.

Home Tile ~ Lifeofjoy.meMy shading has come a long way from my beginning. :) I’m pretty happy with this.

Thanks to those that take the time to comment. It is greatly appreciated. I’ll be posting something every Wednesday, even if there isn’t  Diva Challenge, so please stop back by each week and leave a little love if you don’t mind. ;)

Until next time, God bless,

  1. You’re not the first person responding to the challenge who has expressed that “love” represents home for them, probably because if we as human beings think about it, our heart is with those we love. Speaking of hearts, yours are lovely and your shading makes them reach out to touch us from the page.
