The Diva Challenge for this week is to use Annette Carlo’s tangle U-DID. I didn’t use any other tangle on this piece. It’s ok; it is my first attempts with this tangle, so I guess overall it isn’t too bad. At first I had way too much shading and had to tap out some of it with my gum eraser. I know I’m not supposed to use an eraser but I couldn’t help myself. I really liked Laura’s variation much better than how this turned out. Oh well! Maybe next week’s will be better.
Until next time, God bless,
Michele ºÜº

Michele, I love what you did with ‘X-DID’!!!! It looks great as a monotangle! The fact that you didn’t have lines drawn to keep it inclosed is awesome! It really captures a whole different look to the tangle! Thank you for trying it out!Have a good one! :0) Annette Share Humanity
Oh Annette, thank you so much for your kind words! They mean so much coming from you. Thanks for stopping by!
The rule is —“There are no mistakes”. There have been a lot if different interpretations of this tangle.
Thanks Suzanne! I look forward to finding some time to go and look at what others have done with it.
Lovely tile!
Thank you! How kind of you to take the time to comment!
Very pretty!!!
Thank you Annemarie! I appreciate you stopping by and taking the time to comment!
I like the bold center statement with the more gentle design as a border.
Thank you Jean! My husband and I both think the center looks like an ant.
I almost changed the post title to U-DID Ant.
I appreciate you sharing your thoughts!
Great tile. I like the airy feel of it.
Thank you ! I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
a nice monotangle. I like how you have made a border with parts of the pattern.
Thank you Kia; it is very kind of you to say!
Great one! X-Did is so light and airy in your tile.
Awww, thank you Anoeska! I appreciate your kind words!
Great monotangle. Shading is one of the more perplexing things. Sometimes you just have to experiment.
Thank you Donald! I agree shading can be very perplexing. (I like that word!) Shading can either make or break an otherwise great piece. I’m still learning!
Lovely tile! I like your way of using X-Did here!
Thank you LonettA! I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
This is a very nicely done monotangle! I really like that you used different scales… It really highlights your version of X-Did’s delicate nature. Very pretty!
Awwww, thank you so much Holly! When I drew in the tiny lines it looked like it was missing something; so I added the dots and suddenly, it looked complete to me.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment! I appreciate your kind words.
Oh, shoot. I’m glad I’m not the only one with eraser issues. This is very clean and simple. I find myself putting too much on my tangles sometimes.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
I like your tile, sometimes a monotangle is hard t o do. At first glance the middle one does look like an ant sitting on a flower. I use an eraser sometimes also ( shh that’s just between you and me)
bmlilith, I won’t tell a soul.
