This week’s Diva Challenge is to tangle on something I wouldn’t normally tangle on. I went and checked my craft room (a.k.a. messy storage room for all kinds of things that don’t otherwise have a home). What I came up with was a piece of scrapbooking paper and some pre-printed circle. Both are colored papers, which I don’t generally use.
I cut a 3.5″ square piece of the scrapbooking paper. I decided to use the plaid lines for my string. I think the tangles I used were crescent moon, shattuck, keeko, cant, paradox (mostly bad ones), flukes, and ???
I like how the second one turned out better than the first. I just used some simple striping, dots, and I don’t know what the scrollish one is called.
My eyes were blurring a bit while doing this one, so it’s not the best.
To those awesome few, Christine, Suzanne, Maggibee, and Annemarie, that visited my post last week and left such kind and encouraging comments, thank you! I appreciate you taking time to do so.
Also, thanks to the person that clicked the like heart at the bottom of the post as well.
Until next time, God bless,
Michele ºÜº
Your material is lovely, I particularly liked the plaid one. This is the first time I have been asked to do a sum as a spambot deterent. It asked me 7 – three and I really wanted to put 127 just to be naughty, but common sense prevailed lol.
I really like the plaid string!
Yummy. Your round one reminds me of a Lollipop. Now I want candy!
I like it!
Beautiful
Both very lovely. I do like that plaid paper idea 🙂
I like them both and I think the combination of pattern and colour is really good.
I love the way you used Paradox to make a flower. Brilliant!
Michele, these are both beautiful! I don’t always get the chance to leave messages, but your work is always so nice! Enjoy your day! :0)
Love, love this zia!!! Great idea with this string.
I love both your designs, but the plaid string is so beautiful! What a wonderful ready-made framework to tangle on! The spiral one is beautiful, and I think your tangle is Marasou. It always looks dramatic and alive! Beautiful!
I think I’m with the majority here in terms of really gravitating towards the plaid one. The plaid reminds me of the simplicity of a painting by Mondrian, but the tangles make it move and give it depth. I think I’m going to have to copy off you and use plaid for a string some time.
