Well, there was no diva challenge by the time I needed to get the tile done for this post. So I checked my usual places and found that the tangles and string meshed pretty well. So I used string #74 from Pattern-Collections. Then today’s focus tangle there is Fish in Sea by Smita Toke, yesterday’s was Feather Triangle Ribbon  by Ina Sonnermosen. The focus tangle on Square One: Purely Zentangle was Boucle by Cherryl Moote.

I did use string #74 but needed to connect the lines to give better boundaries for the tangles, so it doesn’t resemble the original string much. I may have to use that one again some time.

I call it the Water Tile because Boucle is like waves and of course, Fish in Sea is like fish in the sea. I imagined Feather Triangle Ribbon as the sandy floor of the water.

So here is my tile before shading.

Yeah, it’s a hot mess! Especially poor Feather Triangle Ribbon. I really enjoyed drawing all these tangles. I really hoped shading would help but didn’t see how the small irregularly shaped triangles were going to look good.

Here it is after a lot of shading.

Once again, I think it probably looks better smaller.
