Introverts Extroverting

Introverts Extroverting ~ Lifeofjoy.meIt has been a fun week around here! Mike and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary! I shared about that Monday. Our church’s young adult conference is coming up soon, for which we will be working in the kitchen serving this wonderful next generation breakfast and lunch. I am sad that two of the young men that helped us last year won’t be able to help this year. We have such a good time in the kitchen and I know they did too but they must do the adult thing and work their jobs. ;) There’s always next year.

YAConference ~ Lifeofjoy.meAny way, we had a quick volunteers meeting Sunday after church and emails and texts going back and forth, finalizing the food and such. Sean attended the worship team practice on Monday so he’ll be familiar with the songs for the word slides. (I’ll think of the right word for this later and forget to update it. LOL)

Tiffany had a lunch date with a lifelong friend of hers on Wednesday, so a friend of mine and I took advantage of me being in town and enjoyed a lunch date as well. It has been forever since Gwin and I have had some good quality chatting and we took full advantage of it . . . about three hours worth. Of course, we could have talked a lot longer but Mike had already made his way home and I knew I should probably head that way. Tiffany, on the other hand, was not finished catching up with her friend Meaghan, so Sean consented to picking her up on his way home. Well, as I had guessed, that turned into an ice cream date for the three of them since Sean hasn’t seen Meaghan in forever!

Finally the text came that Mike and I should go ahead and eat dinner without them as they had chosen to eat dessert before dinner. :D Sometimes that is the proper thing to do. LOL

I know Tiffany has done a lot of talking when she isn’t brimming over with things she wants to share about her visit. LOL Of course, she and Sean both talked a little when they got home but those introverts needed some recharging time. I joked that Tiffany must have used up all of her words for the day; be it 13,000; 16,215; or 20,000 I do believe she used them all up because she had a hard time answering Sean’s remarks. :D

She talked so much that even yesterday her jaw was sore. Okay, it may have been more sore from the wisdom teeth that are determined to pierce through her gums at this time. ;)

Introverts Extroverting ~ Lifeofjoy.meBrian, my oldest child, will celebrate his 25th birthday this weekend!!! Where has the time gone? Their son will be born before the summer is over. I’m so excited! Unfortunately there won’t be any local fireworks display to see from his home this year. It has been the tradition for the last couple of his birthdays to go to he and Lauren’s home, swim, eat, celebrate, and then watch fireworks. Oh well, maybe next year. If we weren’t so opposed to crowds, we could go to Rhema and see their fireworks this year, but alas, crowds we do not like. ;)

Well, in all of the fun I’ve had this week, it appears that I made sure I was living in the moment and forgot to preserve any of it in pictures, so there were none to share with you here today. Thus I used gifs instead. :)

Until next time, God bless,

Michele ºÜº
